Rotary Club of Ellsworth

Our club gives you an opportunity to join leaders and take action on important issues affecting our community, our nation, and the world. We also have a lot of fun—whether we’re socializing or working together on service projects.

Members of our Rotary club connect at weekly meetings and learn from business experts, political and civic leaders, and entrepreneurs, who help us stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community.

Together, we make great things happen. We have a structure that focuses on action, positive results and high ethical standards.

...of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the truth?

  2. Is it fair to all concerned?

  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Our Motto is “Service Above Self”

Rotary is committed to making our communities and the world a better place to live.  The best part...we add very little to project implementation costs because we are all volunteers.  Locally each year, we complete over 1,000 hours of volunteer service to support local projects and events as well as provide over $20,000 annually to nonprofit organizations and student scholarships. Members have a chance to practice teamwork and leadership skills by working on these projects and by sitting on decision-making committees and boards.

Globally, whether it is providing wheelchairs to diverse, needy people in foreign countries or joining with other Rotarians and The Gates Foundation to eradicate polio, our goal is to promote goodwill and peace in the world.  When you join Rotary, you become part of a world-wide network of leaders supporting hundreds of global service projects and educational Peace Fellowships.   Rotary International makes a difference and we accomplish big things with the help of the Rotary Foundation.
